Achievement Day is a non-competitive student event run by Local Associations in Colorado, following guidelines created at the State level. This years theme is Baroque Music. We will have vendors showing technology, a game room, sight reading tests, art, compositions and reports related to music. Come check it out. This is all available to you free. At 9 AM in the Runyan Room the Brandenburg Concerto will be presented. at 11 AM and 2 PM Leila Viss will be presenting a workshop about the Baroque time period with lots of interactive opportunities. In the game room there will be hands on activities for you to learn about Music and the Baroque time period. Come see what the music teachers of Fort Collins have to offer.
Students that are registered will be playing for other teachers and being evaluated.

Brandenburg ConcertoPlease join us at 9 AM on March 4 for a rare performance of Bach's Brandenburg concerto no. 6. This concerto is for 7 players consisting of 2 violas (soloists), cello, two gambas (played with cellos) , keyboard and string bass. Leslie Steward professor at CSU will be conducting and will say a few words about the piece. Allison Pietras and Haide Lefebvre, both FCMTA will be performing with this group.
These seven players are members of the Health and Wellness orchestra which has their concert on Feb. 26. These seven players have agreed to give up their time on March 4 to perform the Brandenburg again for STAD. Please encourage families to attend this 9am performance at STAD.
